Testosterone Therapy
& TRT Alternatives.Understand your options.

At BIOELITE, we prioritize evaluating ways to stimulate your body’s own testosterone production before considering replacement therapy.

Your evaluation determines what is appropriate. Treatment and results are not guaranteed.

The BIOELITE approach

Start with the cause.
Then consider the treatment.

You deserve a clear explanation of what your results mean and which choices may fit your goals. Our focus is to assess whether your own testosterone production can be stimulated medically, while keeping TRT available when clinically appropriate.

“Your body’s own production” describes where testosterone is made. It does not mean that treatment is a natural supplement or free of medication risks.

Understanding your choices

Different approaches. One individual decision.

01

Stimulate your own production

Selected prescription approaches may help the body produce testosterone. Suitability depends on the underlying cause and function of the hormone system. Ask which options may be appropriate for you.

02

Address contributing factors

Sleep disorders, some medications, illness, and excess weight can affect testosterone. Your clinician may recommend addressing contributing conditions and reassessing.

03

Consider TRT

Testosterone replacement supplies testosterone from outside the body. It can be appropriate for confirmed deficiency when the expected benefits and risks support treatment.

The approaches are not interchangeable. No single option is best for everyone.

A meaningful evaluation

Symptoms and lab results need context.

Reduced libido, erectile changes, and fatigue can have several causes. Testosterone deficiency requires compatible symptoms and consistently low levels, confirmed with repeat morning testing. Additional evaluation may include LH and FSH to help distinguish testicular problems from hormone-signaling problems.

Bring your questions

What changed? When did it begin? What have you tried? Share your medications, supplements, previous treatment, and relevant lab results.

Share your priorities

Discuss fertility plans, preferences about treatment, costs, and the follow-up involved. These belong in the conversation before a prescription is chosen.

Fertility matters

Planning a family?
Tell your clinician first.

TRT can suppress sperm production and is generally avoided when planning fertility in the near term. Discuss alternatives and whether a fertility specialist should be involved. Raising testosterone does not itself guarantee improved fertility.

From questions to a plan

Your next steps, made clear.

  1. 01

    Connect

Ask BIOELITE about appointments, the evaluation process, and fees.

  2. 02

    Evaluate

Review your history with a clinician and complete any ordered testing.

  3. 03

    Decide together

Discuss suitable options, medication details, alternatives, and monitoring.

  4. 04

    Reassess

If treatment begins, follow up to review response, side effects, and whether to continue.

An introductory call is not a medical evaluation. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Benefits, risks & follow-up

Know what your treatment involves.

Production-focused options

Some medication uses are off-label. Ask about the specific option’s approval status, evidence, side effects, and monitoring. Supporting your own production does not make a treatment automatically safer than TRT.

Testosterone replacement

Treatment may improve symptoms attributable to confirmed deficiency. Risks include elevated red blood cell counts, acne, and reduced sperm production. Prostate concerns, untreated severe sleep apnea, and other conditions may affect eligibility.

Review the proposed medication’s current prescribing information with your clinician. The considerations here are not a complete risk list. Follow-up should assess symptoms, relevant lab results, and adverse effects.

Frequently asked questions

Clarity before

Ask BIOELITE a question →

Does BIOELITE start every patient on TRT?

No. We first evaluate whether supporting your own testosterone production or addressing contributing factors may be appropriate. Your clinician recommends a plan based on the evaluation.

Can everyone stimulate their own testosterone production?

No. The cause of deficiency and the function of the hormone system matter. Additional evaluation or specialist care may be needed.

Which alternative medication would I receive?

There is no automatic prescription. Ask the clinician which specific options are appropriate, why they are being considered, and whether their use is off-label.

How quickly will I see results?

Response varies. Discuss realistic expectations and a review schedule before starting. A change in a lab value does not necessarily mean every symptom will improve.

I already take testosterone. Can I change my plan?

Ask for an individual review and share your current prescription and recent results. Do not stop or change a prescribed treatment based on this page.

How much does care cost?

BIOELITE offers cash-pay care. Contact the team for current consultation, testing, medication, and follow-up fees before proceeding.

Can my appointment be by telehealth?

Contact the team with your location and care needs. Availability depends on clinical suitability, clinician licensure, and applicable requirements.
