Who may be eligible?

For certain approved adult weight-management products, eligibility includes obesity or overweight with a weight-related condition. Common criteria are a BMI of at least 30, or at least 27 with a qualifying condition. Meeting a BMI threshold alone does not establish that treatment is appropriate.
Your clinician also considers your medical history, current medications, pregnancy plans, contraindications, and the specific product’s requirements. Testing is ordered when clinically indicated.

Important safety information
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. Serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, kidney injury related to dehydration, and severe allergic reactions. Low blood sugar risk can increase with certain diabetes medications.
Weight-management products containing these medicines carry a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors observed in rodents; the human risk is unknown. They are contraindicated with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2).
